Can I be an IG queen?

Scroll through Instagram at any given time and you will see multitudes of women dressed from top to bottom in FashionNova, Pretty Little Thing, Boohoo and more, each more confident than the next in their perfectly matching romper set and flawless makeup. (Squat, pose, repeat).

Now enter me, a just about to 40 woman who is a size 14 and has a full time job and a toddler. I refuse to relegate myself yet to the Ann Taylor life (gag) as I may be clocking 40 but I am not dead. I love fashion, trends, fun and color. There is no reason why I shouldn’t be able to embrace some of the new IG life but make it both practical and wearable for my real life (mom, worker bee, all the rest). Lots of people have done try on hauls and the rest from these companies but I have to say that most I have seen (even from my beloved Patricia Bright) feature women who are easily a size 2 at maximum and can make a paper bag look good.

I am a real woman with curves, stretch marks, belly fat and all the rest and I am going to try to make this my own and not look ridiculous. Who knows, I may even find some hidden gems along the way. As I start this journey I would be excited to hear from you what brands you want me to try and who catches your attention. I’ll be trying to make real, wearable looks from this stuff and will give you my opinion on quality, fit, delivery and more and of course if its all a big scam! As I update each haul, I will also do unpacking on IG stories and of course I might even post them on a YouTube platform, who knows how brave I will be.

As always, this is not a sponsored post but if any of these brands reach out me to or I find any deals I will let you know
